Bells, from Spuyten Duyvel to Jersey City

Each placemark represents a proposed installation of a place-moment sculpture that will ring a bell as high noon moves east to west each day.

One line of bell notes will start where noon finds the East River meeting 125th St., and will progress until Noon finds 125th St meeting the Hudson River.

Another line of bell notes will begin when Noon finds the very northern tip of Manhattan, and progress down a series of significant places until Noon leaves Manhattan altogether, soon to find Liberty Island and New Jersey.

Each installation is in a public place.  Where-ever one is in the public spaces along the western edge of the island, every day, as noon approaches -- and then passes where one is you would hear the bells ringing east of you, nearest you, then west of you, nooin continuing on its way.
